Rock Home Restoration: Doors in the Floors
Removal of 70-year-old carpet reveals hidden door

Solid fir flooring was all we hoped to find under the well-worn '50s-era brown carpet. But, we got a few other unexpected surprises: A colorful '40s-era linoleum 'rug' and another 'access door' near the hearth, which upon further inspection, revealed at least one large hole beneath the floor. Purpose unknown...

Research of Ezra T. Clark Family Ancestors
Family Historian Ralph Clark traces our heritage from France-Belgium to the Connecticut Colony

At the 2011 Ezra T. Clark Reunion held in Farmington, Ralph B. Clark presented fascinating research and insights from his many years of Clark genealogical research. Among other things, Ralph traced the origins of the Clark surname from Western Europe to England, then to the American colonies through our Huguenot heritage.

The Making of Gould's 'Green Book' is a Story in Itself.
The story behind 'the book with thousands characters but no plot'

Robert Gould's 'Green Book' is a family roll-call of epic proportions and it has an equally epic backstory. –There may not be another like it. If there is a plot, it just keeps thickening, building up to one heck of a cliffhanger ending. On second thought, I don't believe there's an end to this story.

Clark cousins' software wins Rootstech 'People's Choice' award

Cousins Kimball and Cathy have what is known as the spirit of Elijah. Others deem an unhealthy obsession of all things family history. Whatever it is, they've accepted it as their lot in life. Interestingly, when they won the Rootstech People's Choice award, in 2010, they later discovered they were standing on the exact location of Ezra's original lot purchased shortly after he entered the Salt Lake Valley 168 years earlier.

Bamberger Railroad Linked Clarks to the World
Clark Lane residents enjoyed rapid transit along Wasatch Front and beyond long before freeways

The rails directly connected the Clarks to the outside world, even bringing the President of the United States for a visit in 1875, Lake Park Resort in 1886 then the infamous Lagoon as a next-door-neighbor in 1896. Farmington's station was the end of the line until 1908. Ezra may not have appreciated his new neighbor's seedy reputation but it had a few positives. He now knew who to allow his children to date. :)
